ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm Kael. I am a professional artist and I work on commission for most of my pieces.

On different platforms, I have different names but for my art and design, I usually go by Kael or KaelSnail. As an artist and illustrator, I have many different character designs I create and with my main focus being illustrating an original graphic novel I do have a main character that I use to also depict myself into a fictional sense. This being said, my main oc is my pup Jack who is definitely the cutest girl around. You'll probably see her running around throughout some of my work on this site.

I attended MCAD, the University of MN - College of Art & Design, and CLC for Graphic Design. I studied digital art and graphic design, with my big focus being on illustrative work. I decided, after taking a gap year I wanted to stay back at home and attend the local college in the city where I grew up all while still getting to be a huge nerd and spend my free time at my job, reading books, making art, or obsessing over which pair of shoes to wear with my outfit each day.

As a person who suffers from severe depression, anxiety, a minor panic disorder, and OCD, I have a lot of things that hold me back from what I really want to do. Hence the reason that I took a gap year and decided to study at a small school.  Because of some of these issues, it became very hard on me to attend large classes and be involved in social settings where there is a lot of activity and noise due to overstimulation of my mind and body.

Aside from all of this, I like to think I'm a kindhearted person who does some pretty interesting work in my art and design. I hope you enjoy my art and if you would like to get to know me better, whether that be through commissioning me or just getting in contact with me, I'd love to talk!
